  What an amazing meal!
  I am a professional wedding entertainer from the Gold Coast, I had an event just down the road and had time to go and grab lunch here. I ordered the chicken parmi.
  WOAH!!!
  It was HUGE and really well priced.
  Not your boring usual thoughtless salad either with it. It had a rice salad section, mushrooms, capsicum and even rockmelon and orange!
  The service was very friendly and the venue is cool.
  It feels like stepping back in time as things have been kept wonderfully historic.
  
  I wished I was a local so this could BE my local!

  Came here for father's day dinner and was not disappointed. When you get there it's a bit of a tight fit through the old hallways, as the hotel definitely has a lot of history. The host lady was extremely friendly and you can tell they care about every customer. The four of us sat down and decided on what we were going to order then the lady came around and game my partners dad a free drink ticket for father's day (was definitely a pleasant surprise) we finally decided to order and I went with the South African bunny chow, not many places have this so I was surprised and interested in trying it.
  
  We waited quite a while for our food probably about 30min but it was father's day and it was packed so I wasn't shocked and sort of expected that long. But when the food came out we were definitely ready. The meals are a very generous size and come with either veg or salad plus chips. I can only speak on my meal but the bunny chow was probably the best I've ever had, it had amazing taste and the bread seemed so fresh, it also came with a little dish of mango chutney and I definitely recommend dipping the bunny chow into the chutney. The side salad also had the best pasta salad I've had, tasted fantastic and was cooked to perfection. Chips were also great, just classic pub chips so no complaints there.
  
  After dinner I was so pleased with my meal I actually decided to get dessert, now I never get dessert at places so this was a rare occasion. They had a desert bored up and had at least 6 options if not more but I went with the pecan honey slice. Was another winner, absolutely filled with taste and had a perfect base to filling ratio.
  
  TLDR - Definitely stop in, great value and delicious meals. I recommend the bunny chow and pecan honey slice for dessert. Will be back again.

  Top notch country pub. Good honest food and friendly service. Only problem is it is too popular so make sure to book a table in advance and get there early for lunch before the tour bus.

  Extremely popular the day went, we were lucky to get a table most had been reserved, so if you are thinking of going think of making a booking. Place is nice enough and the food is good pub food and large servings. I had the bunny chow and enjoyed it.

  I can't comment on the rooms as we only went to the pub for dinner & it was really really good!!! I got a rib eye & it was cooked perfectly & everything on the plate far exceeded all my expectations. It actually made a steak I got in Cairns seem like total rubbish!! If you are going through Cambooya you have to stop in, grab a drink & try their food. Everyone was super friendly & the whole evening was well worth it & not pricey at all. Thanks Bull & Barley!!!

  Amazing staff members always happy definetly a real community vibe. Food was amazing. Absolutely huge portions. Worth the money
